July 27, 2007 Gathering (Raymond's message with more photos)

It was an emotional gathering so soon after Lee Lung San's funeral. It's so nice to meet so many friends again,especially the girls (Mak Siu Ling, Yuen Hong (black pearl), Yeung Ka Lui) whom I meet for the very first time in 40 years, also our honourable chairman Kai Ming who took time off from his busy schedule to attend our gathering.
Thanks to Nainai and our drinkeat expert On Chai to make the gathering possible, and the wine provided by On Chai made it a night to remember. ( I think we had a bottle of wine for each dish) My special thanks to everyone attending for contribute for my free dinner, (for those of you living aboard ( Joe take note), you only have to make your way to Hk, there is no need to worry about paying) Thanks also to Ka Koo and Timothy who gave me a lift home that night, (they must be worried that I might got lost)

July 27, 2007 Gathering
Dear TPS Folks ,We did have a very good time in our gathering last Saturaday despite the hot summer day. The horrible climate heat could never be the hurdles blocking our desire for re-union. There were a high number of 16 classmates & familiy members joining the event and most rewading of all, we had four pretty ladies sharing the funs & daugthers together.
We started with our tour to TPS and most lucky this time, we were able to get into the school premises. The 6A classroom, headmaster's office, rear gardens, the long corridor & staircase, the " little eat " outlet, the assembly hall where I performed Beatles' song (P.S. I love you) together with Funkai, Timothy & Mak Hong Sing during graduation ceremony day..............all these put us back to our innocent & treasurable childhood; we were all obsessed & drown in sweet memory recall. The much stronger red cotton tree and the not much changed setting in Chun Fai Yuen further added to our nostalgic fantasy.
The summer breeze together with a spectacular view of Pak Sin Ling and Plover Cove during sunset welcomed us to San Mun Tsai seafod resturant where we enjoyed the delicious menu organized by our drinkeat expert Stephen ( On Chai ). The food was wonderful and the wine excellent--- they were sponsored by Stephen as usual. It was great that Connie ( Yuen Hong ) and Mak Siu Ling joined us this time and we gave them an important mission of pushing more female classmates to attend our activities. We have great confidence that they will achieve the mission. Connie, with tons of sweetness at heart, was busy to share with us the wedding photoes of her beloved daugther; what an admirable mother ! The dinner was ended with a special desert, home grown Dragon Eye fruits brought by Ka Lui; they were indeed very very delicious. We all wanted to eat more and she promised to let us to pick them freely at her garden but sorry, next summer. Better wait, folks !
Our gathering was extremely enjoyable and I am sure those who did not join would miss it. No problem, the coming one is on Aug 26 and please mark your diary. Remember, your participation will always make a difference ! Please enjoy the attached pictures of our gathering last Saturaday.

Time goes fast and our old machine releases problems till it stops someday sometime? Li and Yeung ka Lui both lived around Nam Hang, Li Man Wan lived at Tai Po Kau, So Li and Yeung may be a good friend at that time, Yuen we called her Black Pearl unfortunately no boys discovered her advantage. No doubt, we did a lot of ridiculous things when we were young and it is a good topic can be talked within thousand years. Wish all of us will be lived happier in the rest of our life! When shall we have a friendly badminton match?

The name of the boy is Kwok Kam Hung , Ah Ngo. They both live in Nam Hang, Fung Yuen, we went there to pick all kind of fruit in the summer.
Lung Tsai was caught and detained by OLD FIREWOOD in Taipo Railway Station for shooting Lightbulbs at the KCR lamp post.

Yes, that was the Lung Tsai you vividly described. He lived in Nam Hang and used to go to school with another classmate whose name I forgot.
What I still remember was the incident in which he was detained by the supervisor of the Tai Po train station. Jumping on and off of the slow-moving train leaving the station was an exciting and fun activity before our tutorial class. He was caught once and was tied to the chair in the station office as a kind of punishment.
He was at Lau Oi Mei’s funeral sitting next to me. He talked quite a lot about his medical treatment and I had the impression that he was recovering well. As you said, our quiet boy Lung Tsai had become talkative.
We will be having dinner with Raymond this Saturday. Pik Har is coming back next month. Do you have any plan of seeing us here?

I was very sorry to hear the sad news.
Lee Lung San was the tall slim boy who sat at the back of classroom, 3A and maybe 4A as well? May be Hark-Ka origin, he had sparkling eyes and dark skin. He lived in some remoted village, Kum Shan Village? He was quiet, I don't recall ever having conversation with him when we were in primary school. I did run into him once in the late 60's or early 70's in Tai Po Market, in the street. We exchanged short update and I knew he worked as policeman or in the related area. He was one of those who still live in Tai Po or New Territory when growing up.
Then, in the recent 10 years, he showed up in the Tai Po Villa BBQ gathering, was not so slim, talked a lot more, his occupation, his family and his pass time. I was thinking the boy outgrew his shyness and we, no longer primary schoolmates, started our casual conversation like the neighbours in the villages. He also showed up in one or two of the our schoolmates dinner gathering. He did not talk as much as the other noise-making boys, he did join the conversation.
He should have conversed well with his family on earth and would know to converse with god in peace.

紅棉樹
Dear Stephen.
I have visited TPS on the 2nd day of the Chinese New Year, which is just 2 weeks before with my family members, but the cotton tree is not with flowers so beautiful at that time. So maybe, eat have time, sleep have time, and cotton tree blossoms also have time. I suggest anybody can spare the time, should bring his/her family, parents, kids, ..., on a day with some sunshine, and the cotton tree will show to you her beautiness. Time is an essential factor.
When we were small, we knew that it is a nice place. Now, we have grown up, and found that it is really a nice place. It is so quiet, so beautiful, like the Giant's Garden opened for the kids to play in it.
This cotton tree, is more than a cotton tree. It embraces TPS, be the home of the many birds, and also breeds the squirrels. I cannot say you can't find it in other place, but I can say this is a special one.

紅棉樹
The pictures are taken today. The cotton tree blossoms. It is Spring Time.
Cotton flowers filled the tree. Squirrels come out to play. Birds (Crested Bulbul高雞冠) with crown on its head flying through the twigs & flowers of the cotton tree. I believe there should be over a hundred birds in the tree. If you could take a very close look into the pictures, maybe you can find it. There are many baby birds.

Thank you for the good pictures with never ending memory, the first time I saw the local squirels was at the MK KCR station, this is the second time I saw it at our monther school, they are busy to consume the honey from the flowers and playing the soldier and thief game. However, the hero tree has watched our school life and still very strong. WIsh all of the TPS folks as strong as this tree.

Fanling Train Station
Yes, it was Fanling station and it takes me some old memory, I caught the locomotive train to the school everyday. The monthly ticket costed $3 which more than the school fee $1. One thing strange the small hill at the top left corner should not be there.Cheng Kai Ming
