Lunch on Dec 27, 2009 with Pik Ha

It was another rejoicing gathering in Lei Garden restauraunt-Shatin on 27 Dec 2009. June(Kan P.H.) came back Hong Kong with her beloved Alwin Wu. NaiNai, Mice, Sau Wah & me happened to have the younger generations present as well together with us.

We are very glad to see June came back as we missed her long time. June showed us an album with descriptions here & there explaining the pictures. The pictures are of our China's Treasures- the Pandas. June's family has spent lots of efforts in dealing with the pandas and finally a book is made for them. Alwin also told us something about the Panda which we in our normal life will not notice, but that relates very much to the continuation of the species of Panda ever exist again.

Sau Wah reported that Marrow (Mak H S) cannot come because it is difficult for him to sit.
We all showed our concern on him, and June suggested that Marrow may need a thorough checking in order to establish a better treatment. Benjamin (Mice' eldest son) told us some knowledge on how to cure vital diseases in this medical information overflow environment, yet the Nobel winners are still staying at the stage of knowing how to cure, and not yet really done. The medical issues seemed to be hot topic, and we turned around to H1N1, the Swine Flu. Alwin suggested that the second wave in Western World has completed, now waiting for the 3rd wave. But the second wave in Hong Kong has not yet come. Basically it must come. So it is suggested that the injection as a precautionary measure is important, though the maximum level of protection is only 90%(may not be 100%), and that it only has medical effect for 4 - 6 months, and then a second injection thereafter is also suggested.

As this is Christmas time, and we longed to see Santa Claus. This is our hope since we were nine or ten or even smaller. Not until today, Santa Claus really came to town. Ma Sir was so generous that he distributed gifts to all of us, without our knowing in earlier stage.
In fact Ma Sir has hinted that he was Santa Claus in our last gathering with Raymond that Sau Wah, Raymond & me were so lucky to have the gifts received in first hand from him.

We all enjoyed to have such a warm Christmas.

Email from Joe to Timothy -- I'LL BE BACK! (and reply from Kai Ming)

Yes, its really too long. 45 years ago when I left Taipo for Kowloon, I have not seen anyone of you except I pumped into Stanley in Vancouver in the 80s. That brought the chances of meeting w/ Au wing-yee, Lee ka-cheung, Tang wing-on and a few others.

It just like hitting the memory button recalling the images/memories of the good old days in TPS; math and English class with Mr. Ma, PT class with Mr.Wai hon-leung, woodwork class with Mr.Chung, Music class with Mr. Leung, the unique cotton tree, the dusty football field, the school building, and other activities such as school picnics, running like a mad ass during recess, throwing stones along the railway track, catching grasshopper on the hill behind the school building. That was the greatest moment of my childhood.

I surf the tps site everyday. I know, I admire and I envy every activity you guys had. That triggers my intention of joining the party. I don't know exactly when I'll be back, but one thing I'm certain: I'LL BE BACK, and give everybody a big hug.

Taking this opportunity, I wish everybody a merry Christams and a happy NEW YEAR.

Stephen,

I was lucky Headmaster Hsu carried me back to Fanling after the show since he was lived at Fanling too. That why I always respect him to take care the poor child like me. The military show was great at that time and think it was nothing special today. Different age with different thinking. I do remember the first hand made X/mas card I received from Alex when I took the P3. The friendship is priceless n is it possible for him to send me another hand made one after 49 years? We all just like the white head imperial female staff saying the history.

Lunch at Lei Garden on Nov 28, 2009

A group photo after the lunch. Lei Garden at Shatin New Town is now the frequent TPS meeting point.

Ling Wun Yee joined us at UCC for coffee after the lunch. Raymond left for UK the next day. It was a long coffee break with lots of story telling, history lectures and laughters.
