Grace Tang, Tang Pak On and Tang Wing On

湊個興

Alexander

Macau Trip, Aug 23, 2009

An enjoyable one-day Macau trip. These are photos taken at Robuchon, the 3 Michelin restaurant.

After the Lunch

From TPS, we went down to Tai Po Market where we had a nice time at a cafe. After that, we walked to 碗窰, where Connie lived during her TPS days. Familiar names like 桃源洞、嚤囉潭、白橋仔 had all given way to development and landscaping. The same stream still runs though.

In the cafe, more talks and laughter. Below: In front of Ling Wun Yee's old home just next to TPS. How nice it was to live beside the school. Much less traveling. Pity those Sheung Shui and Shatin folks.

Email from Alexander after leaving hk

Dear All,

Ralph, thanks for the report and the pictures. I also have to extend my gratitude to all the TPS folks who came out for the gathering and to Ma Sir, who travels to Shatin for the Sept 3 rd lunch.

I have to give credit to Sau Wah for his effort to persuade our 4 beautiful girls classmates to join us, making the event even more memorable. Though I had already seen most of the TPS classmates pictures on the blog, it's exciting to see them up close and personal.

I enjoyed the gathering so much that I made a promise to Stephen that i'll try to make it back as soon as I can on the condition that I will pick up the tab. Thanks so much to On Chai and Nai Nai who accompany me that whole day.

Lunch with Alexander and visit to old TPS

A busy week just passed, and would like to enclose some photos & a brief report on the gathering last week with Alexander.
Since Tang Chi came back to our camp in 2007, this is another great day which another long lost friend, Alexander Lee found us. Stephen's blog has the credit. We had a small gathering together with Ma Sir on 3 Sep 09 when Alexander came back from China before going to Vietnam, while at that time Alexander & Polly would like to pay a visit to Ma Sir prior to our gathering on 13 Sep 09, and ended up with a quick lunch at Shatin Lei Garden Restaurant, with Stanley, Stephen & me present as well. We had a good chatter with Ma Sir & Alexander, sharing the joys & adventures, and the experience of painful bones. Painful bones is something we have to face someday if this still did not happen to us by now. Ma Sir also talked a lot, as a welcome of Alexander back to our TPS family.
On 13 Sep 09, the reunion was splitted into two parts, a lunch & a dinner as some of us could join the lunch only, and some the dinner only. We had more people present in this lunch gathering and the table had to be enlarged with immediate effect. We had four girl-classmates present, together with Polly, made the girls number nearly equal the boys. We talked & ate, and Alexander is a talkable one and can eat a lot. This gathering seemed to be absolutely right for him. We talked about other classmates whom we had not seen for years. Chau Dan's daughter just got married, and she brought us photos. We all shared the joys with her. The couple were now living in Australia. We had our congratulations to Chau Dan. Connie brought us two wines and will be reserved for dinner. Maybe you don't know, Connie & Siu Ling are cousins.
After lunch, we went to TPS. Woon Yee showed us the place where she lived at that time, and our memories came back. It was a hot day, yet we could still convince Polly to come to see TPS with us. Though the front hill disappeared, though the football court also disappeared, yet "Chun Fei Yuen" was still there, the beautiful school structure was still there, the back hill though we could not see, seemed to be still there, and so the shape of the fabulous TPS was still there. But the cotton tree today looked a bit tired in this hot summer day. It was also not a really right time when we arrived TPS as the people of the 國民教育中心 were out, and we could not go in. Maybe Alexander need to wait for next time.
Meanwhile, Tomson & me were separately engaged with other events, and we had to go, and this ends my reporting.
Ralph

Summer Holiday (year unknown)

Even after they finished TPS, these guys used to play basket ball at TPS sport ground during their summer holidays. At the far right is Ka Koo's brother, Yee Koo. The big red cotton tree, the natural symbol of our alma mater, is at the background.
On this piece of red-soil ground, we sweated and cheered for 4 memorable years.

Some old photos from Timothy's album

These are photos taken in an outing at 馬料水, now University Station . The time was probably after the school cert exam. The boys look handsome and the girls pretty. With the exam behind them, these guys and gals were relaxed and joyful. Looking back, those care-free days are certainly enviable.

The father and son team. Timothy was a finalist in the Hong Kong Open Singing Contest some years ago. He still sings in special events. Apparantly, the music DNA has passed on to Sam.
The wives, Rose Tang, Jacqueline Lau, Charmaine Li, Cindy Poon and Eleanor Li.

The complete Group Picture. Tammy left earlier for another occasion and therefore is not in the picture.
